Every Child Should aims to improve outcomes for all children through access to rich and rounded experiences that broaden their horizons and prepare them for life.
Access to enrichment varies considerably and there are about half a million children in the UK who would benefit the most, but access the least. Barriers include cost, travel, availability, low aspirations of those supporting them and not feeling welcome in new environments. Whatever the barriers we aim to overcome them.

Thought leadership
Every Child Should has been leading a conversation on what every child should know, have done, or be able to do by the time they are 18.
The campaign has provided influential blogs and articles. Educators and charities have engaged with the 'every child should?' question at conferences and workshops, highlighting the importance of: access to nature, sport, the arts, culture and heritage; knowledge to better understand the world; and skills to prepare for the future. You can see the outcomes of these conversations here.
The Every Child Should campaign has influenced government policy and informed the DfE Character Guidance and DfE activity passport.
Every Child Should will now refine the rich and rounded experiences, knowledge and skills framework and provide guidance for educators and others who support children on how to apply this. Some activities will be easy to do as part of everyday contact, others may require expert support. Every Child Should will continue to campaign to remove the barriers to accessing these activities for all children.
